Joaquim de Vasconcelos Prize

REGULATIONS
An annual prize awarded by SPIM with the aim of encouraging research in music by recognising the best paper presented by a student at each edition of the EnIM – Encontro de Investigação em Música (Music Research Meeting).

ELIGIBILITY:
All Master’s and Doctoral students whose paper proposals have been accepted by the EnIM Scientific Committee in the year of the competition are eligible to apply. Only candidates who have attended the meeting and delivered their presentation will be considered eligible.

FREQUENCY:
Annual.

PRIZE:
An award of €400.

ADMINISTRATION:
Papers will be evaluated by a jury appointed for this purpose and announced in advance. The jury reserves the right not to award the prize.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Students who have presented their communication proposals at the EnIM must further develop their communication into the format of a full article, in accordance with the RPM guidelines. The final article must be submitted by the date indicated by the Prize organisation to the email address info@spimusica.pt. The deadline for submitting applications and the corresponding process are communicated to interested parties each year.

RESULTS:
The result of the competition will be announced within three months following the application deadline through the SPIM communication channels. The winner will be contacted by email. The prize will be awarded at an appropriate moment during the following year’s EnIM.
