SPIM: Apresentação
A SPIM é uma organização que sucede à antiga Associação Portuguesa de Ciências Musicais e congrega a nível nacional os musicólogos e investigadores em todos os domínios dos estudos musicais, como a história, a teoria, a análise, a iconografia, a psicologia, a pedagogia, a informática, a sociologia, a filosofia da música, a performance e a etnomusicologia.
A principal missão da SPIM é a divulgação do trabalho de investigação em música nos seus diversos domínios, essencialmente, através de encontros anuais (ENIMs) e da publicação da Revista Portuguesa de Musicologia (RPM).
O ENIM pretende proporcionar aos profissionais e a todos os interessados nas diferentes áreas dos estudos musicais uma panorâmica plural, tematicamente diversificada e metodologicamente actualizada das actividades realizadas neste domínio em Portugal, encontrando‐se igualmente aberto a participantes de outras proveniências. Até ao momento, já se realizaram sete Encontros em parceria com entidades de diversos pontos do país: em 2011 na Casa da Música no Porto; em 2012 em Castelo Branco, em parceria com a Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco; em 2013 em Cascais com o apoio do Museu da Presidência da República e da Câmara Municipal de Cascais; em 2014, na Biblioteca Nacional de Lisboa, em 2015, em Évora, em parceria com o Departamento de Música da Universidade de Évora; em 2016 em Aveiro, em parceria com o Curso de Música do Departamento de Comunicação e Arte da Universidade de Aveiro; em 2017 em Braga, em parceria com o Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho.
A Revista Portuguesa de Musicologia (RPM) é publicada em parceria com dois centros de investigação da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa: o CESEM – Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical e o INET-md, Instituto de Etnomusicologia – Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança. Este periódico, com arbitragem científica, aceita submissões de artigos em todas as áreas da investigação em música. A revista é publicada online duas vezes por ano e inclui dossiers temáticos e artigos de investigação, assim como recensões de livros, fonogramas e outros suportes digitais. O português e o inglês são as línguas preferenciais, mas a revista aceita igualmente artigos em espanhol, francês e italiano. Actualmente a revista está indexada ao RILM, ERIH PLUS, LATINDEX e DIALNET.
SPIM: Presentation
The Portuguese Society for Research in Music (SPIM) is an organization which succeeds to the former Portuguese Association for Musicology. At the national level it brings together musicologists and researchers in all fields of music study, such as history, theory, analysis, iconography, psychology, education, philosophy, computing, sociology, performance and ethnomusicology.
The main mission of the SPIM is the dissemination of research into music in its various domains, essentially through annual meetings (ENIMs) and the publication of the Portuguese Journal of Musicology (RPM).
The ENIM aims to provide professionals and all those interested in the different fields of musical studies a thematically diverse and methodologically updated panorama of activities carried out in this area in Portugal; it is also open to participants from other backgrounds. So far, there have been seven Meetings, in partnership with organizations from various parts of the country: in 2011 at Casa da Música in Porto; in 2012 in Castelo Branco, in partnership with the School of Applied Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco; in 2013 in Cascais, with the support of the Presidency of the Republic Museum and the municipality of Cascais; in 2014 at the National Library of Lisbon; in 2015 in Évora, in partnership with the Music Department of the University of Évora; in 2016 in Aveiro, in partnership with the Music Course of the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro; in 2017 in Braga, in partnership with the Institute of Education at the University of Minho; in 2018 in Porto, in partnership with the School of Education and School of Music and Performing Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto
The Portuguese Journal of Musicology (RPM) is published in partnership with two research centres at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa: the CESEM – Centre for Studies of Musical Sociology and Aesthetics and the INET-md, Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre for Music and Dance Studies. This journal, with scientific arbitration, accepts submissions of articles in all areas of research in music. The Journal is published online twice a year and includes thematic dossiers and research articles as well as surveys of books, recordings and other digital support. Portuguese and English are the preferred languages but the journal also accepts articles in Spanish, French and Italian. Currently the journal is indexed to RILM, ERIH PLUS, LATINDEX e DIALNET.
